Overview

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking Industrial Services General Laborers/Hydro Blasters in East Chicago, IN to assist with water treatment systems and pipeline hydrostatic testing, while ensuring safety and building relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

• Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies and procedures.
• Operate manual and automated hydro-blasting equipment as required.
• Use special equipment, such as ultra-high-pressure pumps.
• Energize pumping equipment and operate hydro-blasting and chemical cleaning equipment.
• Examine surfaces cleaned to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on company equipment.
• Interface with customer representatives regarding job setup and scope when in a supervisory capacity.

Requirements

• Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training and on-the-job training.
• Must understand English to comprehend safety training and respond to emergency instructions.
• Valid driver’s license required when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle.
• Knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
• TWIC card required or must be able to obtain.
• Availability to travel to work at other sites 10% of the time.
