Overview

Silent-Aire, a division of Johnson Controls, is a global leader in owner equipment manufacturing (OEM) dedicated to providing custom solutions for data center customers. The Plumber role involves assisting with various plumbing tasks and requires a strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists Electricians, Welders, and Assemblers as necessary for projects.
• Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
• Able to braze and solder copper pipe ½” – 4”.
• Able to work with PVC pipe.
• Experience with power tools.
• Reads blueprints and follows SOPs.
• Performs other assigned work as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an industrial plumber.
• Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred.
• Appropriate credentials and certifications.
• Ability to work shift work.
• Ability to work in small spaces.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills.
