Overview

Austin Industrial is a leader in providing self-perform maintenance, construction, and soft craft services to industrial companies across the U.S. The General Laborer role involves performing various labor-intensive tasks in an industrial setting under supervision, including operating tools and maintaining job sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform strenuous manual labor tasks, including lifting 25+ lbs., bending, kneeling, and climbing.
• Shovel bituminous concrete or other materials into construction areas.
• Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix.
• Excavate and fill trenches and ditches.
• Maintain a clean job site by securing tools and equipment daily.
• Handle and store materials.
• Load and unload trucks and haul materials.
• Follow safety and incident reporting procedures.
• Possess knowledge of equipment, materials, and supplies used in an industrial setting.
• Understand first aid and safety precautions.
• Work independently and complete daily activities according to the schedule.
• Communicate effectively in oral and written forms.
• Use equipment and tools safely and properly.
• Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Maintain dependable attendance.

Requirements

• No minimum education requirements.
• Valid state ID or Driver’s License required.
• 12+ months of experience in an industrial setting preferred.
