At Black & Veatch, employee-owners deliver solutions that positively impact communities worldwide. The Pipefitter Foreman will direct and supervise the planning, installation, testing, and repair of piping systems while ensuring safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise the planning, lay-out, installation, testing, and repair of piping systems.
- Lead and support all safety-related processes and programs.
- Engage with the work team to achieve zero injuries.
- Create and execute a one-week schedule.
- Review crew's timecards for correct hours and phase coding.
- Report all accidents and near misses to the supervisor.
- Conduct tool box meetings to communicate safety concerns and work scope.
- Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with plans and specifications.
- Ensure construction equipment is correctly operated and maintained.
- Provide on-the-job training to craft workers.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience working as a Pipefitter or similar craft.
- Strong working knowledge of pipe fitting techniques and methods.
- Must have all necessary tools as per the Pipefitter tool list.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous experience as a supervisor is preferred.
- Certifications in NCCER Pipefitting, NCCER Rigger, NCCER Project Supervision, or NCCER Project Management are preferred.
