At Black & Veatch, employee-owners deliver solutions that positively impact communities worldwide. The Pipefitter Foreman will direct and supervise the planning, installation, testing, and repair of piping systems while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise the planning, lay-out, installation, testing, and repair of piping systems.
  • Lead and support all safety-related processes and programs.
  • Engage with the work team to achieve zero injuries.
  • Create and execute a one-week schedule.
  • Review crew's timecards for correct hours and phase coding.
  • Report all accidents and near misses to the supervisor.
  • Conduct tool box meetings to communicate safety concerns and work scope.
  • Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Ensure construction equipment is correctly operated and maintained.
  • Provide on-the-job training to craft workers.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience working as a Pipefitter or similar craft.
  • Strong working knowledge of pipe fitting techniques and methods.
  • Must have all necessary tools as per the Pipefitter tool list.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience as a supervisor is preferred.
  • Certifications in NCCER Pipefitting, NCCER Rigger, NCCER Project Supervision, or NCCER Project Management are preferred.

  • Full-Time position.
