Overview

At Lexicon, we're seeking a skilled Structural Fitter to join our team and be a part of our continued success. This role presents an exciting opportunity for growth and development with competitive pay and various shift options.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the layout and assembly of fabricated parts in accordance with shop drawings using AISC and AWS standards.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits together fabricated parts of structural metal products according to blueprint and layout specifications.
• Locates and marks centerline and reference points onto floor or face block and transposes them to work piece.
• Moves parts into position, manually or by hoist/overhead crane, and aligns parts for final assembly.
• Adheres to all company safety and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work overtime and maintain regular, punctual attendance is required.
• Performs non-essential duties as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent with a certificate from Vo-Tech or Trade school in mechanics.
• Must be able to fit most structural steel including beams, columns, braces, and simple frames.
• Must have ability to pass Class B welding test which may include various FCAW and SMAW tests.
• Excellent math skills required.
• Ability to pass a tape measure test is required.
