Responsibilities
- Perform structural engineering calculations and analyses for industrial facilities.
- Design structural steel systems, including pipe racks, equipment platforms, and miscellaneous steel structures.
- Design concrete foundations, equipment foundations, and vessel foundations.
- Develop structural solutions for oil, gas, and chemical plant projects.
- Prepare engineering documentation, material quantities, and cost estimates.
- Perform structural analysis using industry codes and engineering principles.
- Review designs for quality, constructability, and code compliance.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to deliver projects on schedule.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical support throughout project execution.
- Maintain compliance with applicable engineering standards, OSHA regulations, and company quality procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering required.
- Minimum of 4 years of structural engineering experience in the oil, gas, or chemical industry.
- Experience designing pipe racks, concrete foundations, vessel foundations, and structural steel systems.
- Strong structural analysis experience.
- Knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards (IBC, ACI, AISC).
- EIT certification or pursuit of PE licensure is preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering/project tracking systems.
- Familiarity with structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, spMats, or Mathcad is a plus.
