Overview

The Staff Structural Engineer position requires a detail-oriented and reliable individual to lead field evaluations of industrial structures, analyze data, and develop rehabilitation or replacement plans. The role involves technical support for structural construction and client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead field evaluation of existing structures
• Develop calculations and analytical models in steel, concrete, and other materials
• Lead the design of structural rehabilitation and/or replacement plans
• Specify materials and lead the development of reports
• Provide technical support for structural construction
• Interface with clients and develop proposals and estimates

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil / Structural Engineering
• 8+ years of experience
• P.E. required, S.E. (IL) preferred
• Extensive knowledge of STAAD/SAP, AISC, AISC, AWS required
• Familiarity with AutoCAD preferred
• Client interface and team mentoring experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Must possess physical mobility and be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• May be required to work at heights and in confined spaces
