Overview
The Civil/Structural Engineer will focus on engineering and executing civil and structural systems for large-scale power generation projects, particularly in concrete and steel structural works. This role requires technical leadership and collaboration with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform civil and structural engineering for power generation projects, including natural gas engine and turbine facilities.
- Design foundations, piling, concrete structures, and structural steel systems.
- Review and validate engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide field engineering support during site preparation, erection, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, EPC contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and constructability evaluations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for resolving complex civil/structural challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- 5 years of experience in civil/structural engineering for power plants or energy infrastructure projects.
- Experience in concrete and steel design, geotechnical engineering, and structural analysis.
- Proven track record managing and supporting large construction projects.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
- Knowledge of EPC construction practices and project delivery models.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
