Overview

We are seeking a talented Civil/Structural Engineer to join our growing team specializing in the design, assessment, and rehabilitation of waterfront and marine infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong structural engineering expertise, project management capabilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions for ports, marinas, marine structures, and related facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, review, and assist in the preparation of engineering designs, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documentation.
  • Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber structures.
  • Analyze static and dynamic loading conditions on laterally loaded structures, including soil-structure interaction and foundation design for waterfront applications.
  • Manage project schedules, monitor progress, establish deadlines, and resolve technical challenges to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and review engineering design calculations and perform independent quality checks.
  • Coordinate design development with multidisciplinary engineering teams and drafting technicians.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, engineering studies, and operational manuals.
  • Participate in site inspections, condition assessments, and rehabilitation projects involving marine and waterfront infrastructure, including ports, marinas, docks, piers, and related facilities.
  • Perform design reviews and quality control checks in accordance with company standards, quality metrics, and engineering best practices.
  • Provide technical support during construction, including reviewing contractor submittals and shop drawings, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), conducting site visits and field observations, and verifying compliance with project specifications and design requirements.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to support the development and review of engineering drawings and construction documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Experience designing and analyzing concrete, steel, and timber structures.
  • Knowledge of structural analysis principles, foundation design, and soil-structure interaction.
  • Experience working on waterfront, marine, port, or coastal infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design standards, specifications, and quality control procedures.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and engineering design software.
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
