Overview

Majestic Steel is seeking an Operator (Slitter) to set up and operate production lines, ensuring product quality and safety while working collaboratively with the production team. Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production lines to process material according to specifications and instructions.
• Manage all aspects of product quality including selection of material, dimensional tolerance, weight and piece count, and conduct inspections.
• Advocate for safety by adhering to guidelines, wearing personal protective equipment, and reporting equipment issues.
• Work collaboratively with the production crew to meet goals and assist with additional job-related responsibilities.

Requirements

• Competency reading tape measures and calipers.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to operate assigned equipment safely and effective communication skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year production operator experience.
• Experience working in a steel service center on a leveling and/or slitting machine.

Additional Information

• Starting rate is $21.00/hour for Operator in Training; could be eligible for more based on experience.
• Work schedule is Monday - Friday, 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM, with overtime as required.
