Overview

Lawrence Doors, Inc., a leader in the commercial door industry and part of the Amarr / ASSA ABLOY Group, is seeking an experienced foreman specializing in commercial and industrial door installations, service, and repair for their Los Angeles Branch. Candidates must be willing to work overtime, and electrical and welding experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial coiling overhead doors.
• Service and repair commercial and industrial doors.
• Troubleshoot high-speed doors.
• Install edge of docks and weld on bumpers.
• Run floor loops.
• Install motor operators and gate operators.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in using hand and power tools.
• 3-5 years of commercial coiling overhead door installation and repairs.
• Stick welding experience.
• Electrical experience with installing motor operators and gate operators.
• Ability to read drawings and use basic measurement tools.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and documentation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• Ability to climb extension ladders.
• Experience with safe operation of scissor lift and forklift.
