Overview
TRC is seeking a Structure Representative to support their team in Southern California. The company combines engineering with innovative technology to provide solutions for various clients, including commercial, industrial, and government sectors.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily inspections and complete documentation including daily reports documenting contractor labor, equipment, daily construction progress, project site visitors, non-conforming work, safety issues, traffic control, field measured quantiles, field discussions with the contractor and public, and daily project photographs.
- Coordinate with clients/owners, other consultants, contractors, materials testers and others involved with the project.
- Read and interpret Standard Specifications, Standard plans, project plans and specifications.
- Monitor construction for compliance with project documents including collecting and checking material tags and certificates of compliance.
- Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures.
- Inspect construction based on Caltrans Standards.
- Communicate with project team members and provide recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Able to work nighttime.
Requirements
- High school degree/GED or equivalent.
- 2-year associate degree in relevant area is a plus.
- 3-5+ years progressively responsible experience in construction inspection, or 6-8+ years of general construction experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge in construction inspection applications.
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint and MS Project.
- Valid CA driver's license.
- Willingness to travel.
- Competent verbal and written communication skills.
