Overview

Thornton Tomasetti is an independent organization that applies engineering and scientific principles to solve global challenges. They are seeking a Structural Project Engineer with interests in demolition engineering, structural forensic investigation, litigation support, and structural repair design, involving up to 30% travel within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and review demolition analysis and planning.
  • Coordinate with contractors on large-scale demolition projects.
  • Perform and review structural analysis and repair design of various structural systems.
  • Conduct site visits to support forensic investigations, including surveying and documenting observations.
  • Research historical background of diverse structures, technical issues, and code issues.
  • Prepare technical and investigative reports and presentation materials.

Requirements

  • Degree (Master’s preferred) in structural engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • 4+ years of structural engineering experience with proficiency in analysis and documentation tools.
  • Field experience with various types of structures is a plus.
