Overview

Join Banner Health as a BMS Plant Mechanic to help maintain critical hospital systems. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Building Management Systems and essential plant equipment in a supportive healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Building Management Systems and essential plant equipment.
  • Conduct preventative and corrective work on mechanical equipment, boilers, chillers, and generators.
  • Work closely with ROC BMS Technicians and BMS Analysts to calibrate field hardware.
  • Support the Monitoring Based Commissioning program for utility and infrastructure systems.
  • Coordinate with other divisions to meet facility infrastructure and utility maintenance needs.
  • Schedule and monitor maintenance repair work and infrastructure construction activities.
  • Instruct personnel on infrastructure and utility hazards for safe equipment operation.
  • Maintain records for facility compliance with regulatory codes and standards.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience as a plant mechanic, stationary engineer, boiler operator, or refrigeration mechanic.
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge, plus vocational or technical training.
  • Working knowledge of utility and infrastructure systems common to healthcare.
  • Ability to exercise independent decision making and judgment.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding maintenance and construction documents.
  • Valid driver's license and eligibility for company auto insurance coverage.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information

  • Location: Mesa, Arizona
  • Work Shift: Varied, primarily Monday through Friday from 7AM to 3:30PM.
