Overview
Join Banner Health as a BMS Plant Mechanic to help maintain critical hospital systems. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Building Management Systems and essential plant equipment in a supportive healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Building Management Systems and essential plant equipment.
- Conduct preventative and corrective work on mechanical equipment, boilers, chillers, and generators.
- Work closely with ROC BMS Technicians and BMS Analysts to calibrate field hardware.
- Support the Monitoring Based Commissioning program for utility and infrastructure systems.
- Coordinate with other divisions to meet facility infrastructure and utility maintenance needs.
- Schedule and monitor maintenance repair work and infrastructure construction activities.
- Instruct personnel on infrastructure and utility hazards for safe equipment operation.
- Maintain records for facility compliance with regulatory codes and standards.
Requirements
- Three or more years of experience as a plant mechanic, stationary engineer, boiler operator, or refrigeration mechanic.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge, plus vocational or technical training.
- Working knowledge of utility and infrastructure systems common to healthcare.
- Ability to exercise independent decision making and judgment.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding maintenance and construction documents.
- Valid driver's license and eligibility for company auto insurance coverage.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Information
- Location: Mesa, Arizona
- Work Shift: Varied, primarily Monday through Friday from 7AM to 3:30PM.
