Responsibilities

  • Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design with little or no supervision.
  • Plan and conduct work requiring independent evaluation and selection of engineering techniques.
  • Exercise sound engineering judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess strong knowledge of lateral analysis and design principles.
  • Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control.
  • Perform calculation checking of other engineers' work.
  • Manage workload and take full ownership of assigned work.
  • Identify scope changes and escalate them to the Structural Lead or Project Manager.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and less experienced engineers.
  • Be proactive in advancing workflows and embracing emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License (PE).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Structural engineering.
  • Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience leading small teams.
