Responsibilities
- Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design with little or no supervision.
- Plan and conduct work requiring independent evaluation and selection of engineering techniques.
- Exercise sound engineering judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Possess strong knowledge of lateral analysis and design principles.
- Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control.
- Perform calculation checking of other engineers' work.
- Manage workload and take full ownership of assigned work.
- Identify scope changes and escalate them to the Structural Lead or Project Manager.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and less experienced engineers.
- Be proactive in advancing workflows and embracing emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer License (PE).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Structural engineering.
- Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience leading small teams.
