Overview

This is a full-time permanent paid position for a Welder who will perform FCAW welding in horizontal and vertical positions. The role requires passing specific welding tests and adhering to safety standards in a heavy industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Pass Weld 3 test and perform horizontal (2F) and vertical (3F) fillet welds.
• Tack in groove welds after passing fillet weld break tests.
• Weld in the 2F and 3F position without supervision after expectations are established.
• Perform tack welds while working with a fitter.
• Select and set up welding equipment and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Inspect fillet welds and perform basic repairs to ensure compliance.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Establish working relationships with other employees and supervisors.
• Maintain acceptable attendance according to company policies.
• Work overtime as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school training preferred but not required.
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
