Overview

Wieland is a global leader in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution, seeking Pressure Vessel Welders Level I, II, and III for weekend shifts in Delaware, OH. The role involves working from various instructions to perform welding operations while adhering to ASME Code Safety Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Follow production orders, prepare parts and weld components into assemblies.
  • Execute welds in accordance with company procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
  • Properly maintain tools and equipment assigned to perform duties.
  • Identify and implement safety improvements.

Requirements

  • Level I: At least 1-3 years' experience or commensurate education from trade school.
  • Level I: Capable of MIG and TIG welding of parts and pipe, but not yet certified with the company for welding of parts under pressure.
  • Level I: Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings.
  • Level I: Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
  • Level I: Methodical, organized, and precise.
  • Level I: Proactive in proposing solutions.
  • Level II: At least 3+ years' experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels.
  • Level II: Experience and certification in welding in accordance to ASME standard.
  • Level II: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to fitting and welding components.
  • Level II: Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
  • Level II: Methodical, organized, and precise.
  • Level II: Proactive in proposing solutions.
  • Level III: At least 5+ years' experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels (certified experience).
  • Level III: Experience and certification in welding in accordance to ASME standard.
  • Level III: Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings, and teach others to do so.
  • Level III: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fitting and welding components.
  • Level III: Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
  • Level III: Methodical, organized, and precise.
  • Level III: Proactive in proposing solutions.

Additional Information

  • This role is located in Delaware, OH and will be fully on-site.
  • Starting Pay: $28.23/hr., with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
  • Weekend Shift Pay Differential: $1.50
  • Weekend Shift Schedule: Friday - Sunday, 6:00am-6:00pm (36 hours)
  • Training will be on 1st Shift Monday – Thursday |6:00am-4:30pm
  • Pay Schedule: Biweekly
