Overview

We are a heavy equipment manufacturer in East Canton, Ohio seeking skilled individuals for fitting and welding our machinery. Candidates are required to work 40 hours Monday through Thursday, with shifts available on both 1st and 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

  • Read blue prints with weld symbols.
  • Layout, position and secure parts and/or assemblies according to specifications.
  • Weld in all positions.
  • Create a weld with integrity.
  • Create a weld that is aesthetically pleasing.
  • Understand the effect of weld heat on steel and how to counter the effect.
  • Cut/trim using oxygen & acetylene torch or plasma cutter.
  • Hand grind, scrape, and polish for paint preparation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
  • Can read and write.
  • Can use a tape measure, square, and/or measuring instruments.
  • Has reliable transportation.
  • Can work 40 to 50 hours weekly.
  • Can lift 75 lbs.
  • Must have own tools and welding helmet.

Additional Information

  • Work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3pm to 1am for 2nd shift and Fridays as needed.
  • Day shift is Monday through Friday, 6am to 2:30pm.

Compensation

  • Starting wage is minimum of $23.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill, plus $2.00 per hour shift differential while working on 2nd shift.
