Overview

We are looking for a skilled Structural Welder to join our team and fabricate structural steel components that meet high standards of quality, safety, and craftsmanship. This role involves collaborating with fitters, supervisors, and quality personnel in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel components in accordance with approved welding procedures, fabrication drawings, and quality standards.
• Produce clean, accurate, and structurally sound welds using FCAW and GMAW processes.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and project specifications.
• Verify proper fit-up, joint preparation, and weld quality prior to welding.
• Operate grinders, torches, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
• Work closely with team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet customer expectations.
• Maintain a strong commitment to quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of structural welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and welding procedures.
• Proficiency in FCAW and GMAW welding processes; GTAW experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of weld preparation, fit-up verification, and distortion control techniques.
• Experience operating grinders, torches, and related fabrication equipment.
• Ability to successfully pass company-required welding qualification tests.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
