Overview

The Structural Steel Fabrication Welder (Blueprint Fitter) role involves building custom metal products by interpreting engineered drawings, selecting materials, and performing welding tasks in various positions. The position emphasizes precision, teamwork, and a commitment to safety in the workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Handle, cut, weld, and assemble steel, stainless, aluminum, structural, and sheet metal for custom products.
  • Fabricate and install to spec, following engineered drawings and cut lists.
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
  • Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
  • Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies using measuring tools.
  • Work closely with team members to fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Basic to intermediate fabrication and welding background; MIG experience preferred.
  • Certifications are helpful but not required; training is provided.
