Overview

Join a fast-paced Gulf Coast shipyard as a Maritime Pipe Welding Specialist, where your precision welding is essential for complex piping systems on maritime builds and refits across various locations including Panama City, FL, Mobile, AL, Pascagoula, MS, and Lockport & Houma, LA.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out, fit, and weld stainless steel and copper-nickel pipe systems aboard ships and on platforms.
  • Execute GTAW (TIG), SMAW (stick), and FCAW (flux-core) processes with consistency and accuracy.
  • Operate within an around-the-clock manufacturing setting, including heights and confined spaces.
  • Adhere to stringent safety practices that meet and often exceed industry standards.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of dedicated pipe welding experience.
  • Hands-on proficiency with GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (stick); familiarity with FCAW is a plus.
  • Capability to pass a military standard X-ray weld test on stainless and copper-nickel in the 6G position.
  • Ability to pass military-spec assessments in the 2G, 3G, and 4G positions.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
