Overview

The Welder/Vehicle Floor Tech position at Leiters Ford involves performing welding tasks according to established standard operating procedures while ensuring quality standards are met. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work instructions to complete tasks according to guidelines.
• Use hand and power tools to complete finished products.
• Weld or join metal components using hand-welding techniques.
• Inspect parts and products according to quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Practice problem solving and troubleshooting as part of a team.
• Cross train in other areas of the department as needed.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere through effective communication.
• Drive LEAN knowledge and assist with continuous improvement.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain orderly work areas.

Requirements

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and read blueprints.
• Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to handle problems in standardized situations.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass onsite Weld Test with Weld Trainer.
• Willingness to learn continuous improvement techniques.
