Overview

Calgon Carbon, a Kuraray Company, is seeking a Welder I to join their Equipment & Assembly Plant in Pittsburgh, PA. This entry-level position involves performing various welding tasks under supervision, contributing to environmental solutions that impact air and water quality globally.

Responsibilities

• Comply with company policy.
• Perform material handling and movement.
• Conduct tack welding and finish welding of piping systems using SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW procedures.
• Inspect own work to ensure compliance with drawings and weld procedures.
• Operate fork trucks, jib cranes, and overhead cranes after training.
• Assist in other areas of the plant as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred.
• 2-3 years of welding experience is required.
• ASME code welding experience is preferred.
• Certification to CCC procedures is required.

• Location: Equipment & Assembly Plant - Pittsburgh, PA
• Hours of work: Mondays - Fridays, 40 Hrs/Wk - 3 shift operation.
