Overview
ALCOM is a growing company dedicated to producing high-quality aluminum trailers across various categories. With multiple manufacturing plants, ALCOM focuses on innovation and craftsmanship, providing customized solutions for their dealers.
Responsibilities
- Reads job orders and blueprint specifications.
- Checks the blueprint and job order before starting any operation.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
- Flips the trailer to weld the other side with assistance.
- Verifies specifications by inspecting completed components.
- Responsible for the safety of the equipment used.
- Notifies the lead or manager of the need for equipment repairs.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results.
- Recognizes obvious defective or damaged parts and checks job orders.
- Evaluates and recommends changes in methods and procedures.
- Follows directives and procedures and completes paperwork.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Works in compliance with safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 6S and Kaizen events.
Requirements
- Aluminum welding experience is required.
- Must pass an aluminum weld test.
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Must be able to read a tape measure and follow a job order.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
