Overview

The Jor-Mac Company is a contract manufacturer specializing in metal fabrications and assemblies, committed to delivering high-quality and cost-competitive products to OEMs. The 1st Shift Robotic Welder is essential in operating and maintaining robotic welding equipment to ensure the production of high-quality welded components while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, and operate robotic welding machines to perform welding tasks according to specifications.
  • Inspect and test welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments to equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on robotic welding systems to minimize downtime.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures to accurately configure robotic welders.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify process improvements and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed records of welding operations, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience operating robotic welding equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols.
  • Basic knowledge of welding processes such as MIG, TIG, or arc welding.
  • Ability to perform mechanical adjustments and routine maintenance on robotic systems.
  • Certification in robotic welding or related technical training (preferred).
  • Experience with programming robotic welding cells using industry-standard software (preferred).
  • Familiarity with quality control standards such as ISO or AWS welding codes (preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues (preferred).
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume manufacturing setting (preferred).

Additional Information

  • Work schedule is Monday-Thursday from 6:30am to 4:30pm.
