Overview
The Jor-Mac Company is a contract manufacturer specializing in metal fabrications and assemblies, committed to delivering high-quality and cost-competitive products to OEMs. The 1st Shift Robotic Welder is essential in operating and maintaining robotic welding equipment to ensure the production of high-quality welded components while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate robotic welding machines to perform welding tasks according to specifications.
- Inspect and test welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments to equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on robotic welding systems to minimize downtime.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures to accurately configure robotic welders.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify process improvements and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of welding operations, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating robotic welding equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols.
- Basic knowledge of welding processes such as MIG, TIG, or arc welding.
- Ability to perform mechanical adjustments and routine maintenance on robotic systems.
- Certification in robotic welding or related technical training (preferred).
- Experience with programming robotic welding cells using industry-standard software (preferred).
- Familiarity with quality control standards such as ISO or AWS welding codes (preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues (preferred).
- Previous experience working in a high-volume manufacturing setting (preferred).
Additional Information
- Work schedule is Monday-Thursday from 6:30am to 4:30pm.
