Overview

As a Welder Associate, you will learn and assist in the layout, fitting, and fabrication of metal components to assemble quality side dump trailers and/or feeding systems. This role is ideal for individuals eager to develop their welding skills within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions under guidance.
• Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.
• Remove rough spots from work pieces using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
• Assist in maintaining proper equipment and learning basic repair when needed.
• Learn to interpret basic drawings and plans, carrying out work accordingly.
• Assist in laying out, positioning, and securing parts and assemblies according to specifications.
• Learn to inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances using precision measuring equipment.
• Follow the schedule established to meet drawing needs.
• Perform all other duties as assigned for operational effectiveness.

Requirements

• Quick learner with a genuine interest in working in a team environment.
• Safety-minded and self-driven with a high standard of quality.
• Willingness and ability to learn and perform other jobs.
• Must pass an in-house welding test.
• Ability to read basic blueprints.
• Effective time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Vocational training or strong mechanical aptitude is a plus.
