Overview
At HUBER, we prioritize a supportive, innovative, and safe work environment. The Press Brake Operator performs metalworking operations to shape and form metal into parts or products, ensuring quality and meeting production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Layout, set up, and operate press brake machines and other metalworking equipment.
- Check product quality for correct shapes, dimensions, and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on non-conforming parts.
- Transport material to the work area manually or using equipment.
- Use barcode scanners for logging and moving material.
- Provide timely information regarding production problems.
- Analyze tooling, setups, and procedures for improvements.
- Read and understand manufacturing drawings for machine setup.
- Remain alert to detect improper part forming.
- Troubleshoot material issues as they arise.
- Work as part of a team to improve operations.
- Undertake continuous training and development.
- Perform routine maintenance on press brakes and other machines.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Work to meet set goals agreed with the supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
- Decent computer skills.
- Minimum 5 years working directly with press brakes.
- Minimum 1 year working with Trumpf bending machines.
- Experience with hand and power tools and hydraulic equipment.
Additional Information
- This is a full-time position.
- Standard hours are Monday – Friday, 3rd shift 10:30pm - 7:00am, but hours are subject to change.
