Overview

Elwood Staffing is hiring a Stick Welder/Maintenance Helper in Marshall, TX. This position involves performing stick welding and assisting with maintenance tasks in a light industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform stick welding (SMAW) to repair equipment, frames, brackets, and structural components.
• Assist with preventative maintenance on industrial cleaning systems and production equipment.
• Inspect machinery for wear, damage, and potential mechanical issues.
• Replace worn or damaged parts using hand and power tools.
• Help troubleshoot mechanical equipment and perform basic repairs.
• Maintain pumps, motors, conveyors, valves, hoses, and piping systems.
• Read work orders and follow maintenance schedules.
• Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a stick weld test.
• Applicant may be subject to a background check.
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
