Overview

The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for a Pipefitter within Engineering Service. The role involves troubleshooting, installing, modifying, and repairing high-pressure piping systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, modify, and repair high-pressure piping systems and equipment.
• Work from building plans, blueprints, and sketches to plan and lay out routing and placement of systems.
• Install and modify systems by locating and tapping main lines and determining necessary valves and traps.
• Complete the routing and placement of systems leading to equipment and test for proper operation.
• Plan and lay out installation and modification of systems while interpreting building plans.
• Use various tools and equipment for installations and repairs.
• Perform repairs and installations safely in hard-to-reach areas.

• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm or 11:00 pm to 7:30 am.
• Physical requirements include working from ladders and scaffolding, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
