Overview

RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented GTAW Welder to join their production team in Wilson, NC. This role involves performing high-quality precision welding on thin-gauge materials in a structured, process-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate welding equipment according to technical drawings and WPS parameter ranges.
• Perform manual, semiautomatic, mechanized, and automatic GTAW welding operations on various thin-gauge materials.
• Inspect and repair welds based on visual inspection and commercial quality criteria.
• Follow safety and compliance standards, maintaining a clean work area.
• Assist in training other welders and interpret technical documents.

Requirements

• Typically requires HS diploma or equivalent, or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• 1+ years GTAW welding experience and/or 1+ years welding fabrication experience.
• Associate’s degree in welding or a certificate from a vocational/technical Welding program.

Additional Information

• This is a 2nd shift position with hours from Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM.
• Overtime may be required.
