Overview
Lennox, a leader in HVAC and refrigeration, is seeking a skilled MIG Welder for its AES division in Tallassee, AL. The position involves performing precise welding tasks on various materials while ensuring product quality and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom and standard products from blueprints with high attention to detail and efficiency.
- Communicate with shop manager and engineering on product issues and assist with streamlining methods for production.
- MIG weld 10-to-20-gauge galvanized steel for adapters, curbs, and other products.
- Conduct visual inspections of welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and successful project completion.
- Under direct supervision, spot welds together metal components.
Requirements
- Familiar with safe welding practices.
- Capable of learning to read fabrication drawings with some instruction.
- Capable of welding 10-to-20-gauge galvanized steel.
- Must be physically capable of loading fabrication parts onto the weld table.
- Capable of blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
- Individual must be a self-starter and need minimal guidance on daily tasks.
- Must be quality oriented with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, diagrams.
- Individual must have a working knowledge of MIG welding machines with respect to preventive maintenance and control settings.
- Able to move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred: Trade school or certification in welding.
- Required: 1-year previous MIG welding experience.
- Able to work with a positive attitude and in a team setting.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Information
- This is an hourly non-exempt role.
- The starting pay range for this role is $19.50/hour.
- Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week.
- New employees in this role also receive up to 10 days paid time off, 10 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
