Overview
MAC Medical is a family-owned business established in 1998 that specializes in building American-made medical equipment. The MIG Welder is responsible for welding, cutting, and brazing metal pieces and products using various equipment.
Responsibilities
- Plans details of work order procedures and gathers required tools and materials.
- Follows blueprints.
- Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques.
- Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to prevent overheating or damage.
- Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces.
- Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
- Notifies supervisor of faulty equipment or defective materials.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a Mac Medical apprenticeship, Welding Certificate, or 3 years MIG experience.
- Experience in medical, food-grade, pharmaceutical, or clean-finish welding environment.
- Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding.
- Basic understanding of design techniques and tools for producing technical plans.
- Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments.
- Basic understanding of mathematics related to welding assignments.
- Must pass Skill Assessment for Tape Measure and Welding Test.
