The Structural Welder is responsible for welding and assembling structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, and pressure vessels.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry and welding techniques.
• May use various welding processes including Gas-Metal Arc and Shielded Metal Arc.
• Bolts, clamps, and welds together metal components of products using arc welding equipment.
• May manually apply filler rod to supply weld metal and clean weld joints.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience.
