Overview
As a Welder at Honeywell, you will work on a team ensuring the quality and efficiency of welding operations. This position requires training on the 1st shift before transitioning to the night shift, with responsibilities including various welding tasks and equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct welding operations in accordance with specifications and industry standards.
- Perform fitting, cutting, and grinding operations as necessary.
- Inspect welds for defects, maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Mentor and train junior welders to enhance their skills.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience with semi-automatic and manual welding processes such as GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment, with aluminum welding experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and specifications; familiarity with AWS welding symbols is required.
- Basic understanding of math, geometry, and angles; adept in using the metric system.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and maintain a fast-paced work environment.
- Willingness to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift up to 30 lbs.

- Location: Palmetto, FL
- Training on 1st shift before transitioning to 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:00am).
