Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, join, and repair equipment and metal objects using various welding techniques.
• Determine layout of weld parts according to drawings and requirements.
• Weld according to Oshkosh AeroTech specifications.
• Apply specialized skills in procedures, techniques, tools, and materials.
• Execute welds in all positions and various shapes.
• Assist during welding of components in areas of expertise.
• Assist with design and set-up of work centers.
• Troubleshoot problems and communicate design discrepancies.
• Complete required weld documentation.
• Move weldment to the next process verifying it meets specifications.
• Use material handling equipment to move parts and components.
• Perform all duties safely and maintain awareness of dangers.
• Practice good housekeeping in the work area.
• Understand and follow Hazardous Waste Management duties.
