Overview

FWG Solutions is a rapidly growing systems integrator and provider of technology services to government and commercial clients, specializing in cybersecurity, logistics, advanced engineering, and operational support services. The Welder position involves welding, brazing, and metal fabrication in support of the U.S. Navy’s LCAC Amphibious Combat Vehicle program.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, brazing and metal fabrication for aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, piping, pressure vessels, and hulls/craft components.
• Support craft repair, fabrication, alterations, depot repair, shop and production requirements.
• Perform fit-up, repairs, modifications and inspections on all metal structures and pressure vessels.
• Take on new assignments with general instructions.
• Apply industry knowledge to various programs and projects ensuring successful completion.
• Use knowledge of industry standard policies and procedures to complete job tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned related to the business functions of FWG Solutions.

Requirements

• High School Degree Required.
• Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain an interim clearance required.
• ANAVSEA welding/brazing qualification required.
• Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience and knowledge in S9074 familiarity.
• Hot work safety knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to hold yourself and others accountable on short-term and long-term goals.
• Ability to install, assemble, and configure new mechanical or refrigeration systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with general maintenance staff.
• Ability to work with various levels of personnel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
