Job Description Coronado Steel is looking for an experienced Welder to support our fabrication and foundry operations. This position is responsible for welding, fitting, repairing, and finishing steel components according to job specifications, drawings, travelers, and supervisor direction. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment and able to produce quality welds while maintaining safe work habits and steady production output.

Primary Responsibilities • Perform welding, fitting, repair, and fabrication work as assigned • Read and follow drawings, job travelers, measurements, and work instructions • Use MIG, stick, flux-core, or other welding processes as required by the job • Work with cranes, forklifts, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment as needed • Identify quality issues, fit-up concerns, or material problems and communicate them to supervision • Maintain a clean and safe work area • Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality standards • Assist other areas of the shop when needed

Preferred Experience • Prior welding experience in a fabrication, foundry, steel, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment • Ability to pass a weld test • Ability to read basic drawings and use measuring tools • Forklift and/or overhead crane experience preferred • Experience with steel, castings, repair welding, or heavy components is a plus

Hours Full-time, in-person position. Standard shop schedule is day shift, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed based on workload.
