Overview
Supreme Manufacturing LLC specializes in manufacturing clamshell dredges, conveyors, rock barges, and more. We are looking for talented and dedicated professionals to join our shop as a Welder/Fabricator.
Responsibilities
- Learn and apply various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core.
- Study and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
- Understand and follow welding symbols and instructions.
- Assist in setting up welding equipment and materials.
- Perform basic welding tasks under the guidance of a journeyman welder.
- Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Inspect welds for defects and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
- Assist in assembling and disassembling metal structures.
- Transport materials and equipment as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Document time spent welding on specific jobs by entering time using the correct job code and cost code.
- Manage production time in an efficient and economical manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Enrollment in or completion of a welding training program is preferred.
- Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
- Basic knowledge of welding techniques and tools.
- Complete and pass a 3G limited weld test.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must be capable and competent operating forklift trucks and overhead cranes.
- Must obtain CPR/First Aid and MSHA training certifications.

- First Shift: Mon - Fri 7am - 3:30pm.
- Second shift: Mon – Thu 3pm – 1:30am.
