Overview
The Laborer supports precast production by performing hands-on tasks involved in forming, pouring, finishing, and handling concrete products. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Strip cured concrete products from forms and load for transport
- Clean and prepare forms using hand tools and cleaning equipment
- Set up forms including rebar placement, stressing, and imbeds installation
- Assist with pouring, placing, raking, and shoveling concrete
- Finish concrete using hand and power tools to required specifications
- Perform general plant cleanup and housekeeping duties
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other production equipment
- Support safe operation of trucks, trailers, tractors, and related equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs
Requirements
- Previous construction or laborer experience preferred
- Concrete finishing experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure preferred
- Comfortable using hand tools and basic power tools
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions
- Ability to climb, lift, push, and pull equipment as needed
- Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts consistently
- Strong awareness of safety practices and procedures
- Willingness to learn production processes and equipment operation
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
