Job Description

Overview

The Mechanical Assembler position involves hands-on assembly, testing, and packaging of mechanical systems and components in a production environment. Candidates should possess mechanical aptitude, relevant education, certifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build electromechanical assemblies to print and perform OHM testing.
  • Interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics and diagrams.
  • Plumb, bend, and assemble hydraulic tubing and fittings.
  • Fit gears, drive couplings, and other mechanical assemblies.
  • Finish testing and packaging of final or sub-assembly products.
  • Read and follow engineering and manufacturing documents.
  • Perform in-process quality checks and escalate non-conformances.
  • Follow work order instructions to produce required quantities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Complete and maintain all required production and quality documentation.
  • Operate fork truck and other equipment safely.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of wiring or electromechanical assembly experience preferred.
  • Vocational or formal applicable education or certifications a plus.
  • Skilled in small machine assembly and precision machining.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics preferred.
  • Ability to read instructions and visually inspect parts.
  • Proficient use of hand and power tools.
  • Good hand dexterity and grip strength.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to manage time and work independently.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft platforms.
  • Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions.
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
