Overview
The Mechanical Assembler position involves hands-on assembly, testing, and packaging of mechanical systems and components in a production environment. Candidates should possess mechanical aptitude, relevant education, certifications, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Build electromechanical assemblies to print and perform OHM testing.
- Interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics and diagrams.
- Plumb, bend, and assemble hydraulic tubing and fittings.
- Fit gears, drive couplings, and other mechanical assemblies.
- Finish testing and packaging of final or sub-assembly products.
- Read and follow engineering and manufacturing documents.
- Perform in-process quality checks and escalate non-conformances.
- Follow work order instructions to produce required quantities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Complete and maintain all required production and quality documentation.
- Operate fork truck and other equipment safely.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of wiring or electromechanical assembly experience preferred.
- Vocational or formal applicable education or certifications a plus.
- Skilled in small machine assembly and precision machining.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics preferred.
- Ability to read instructions and visually inspect parts.
- Proficient use of hand and power tools.
- Good hand dexterity and grip strength.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical ability.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
- Ability to manage time and work independently.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft platforms.
- Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions.
- Self-motivated and able to take initiative.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
