Overview

We’re hiring for a Paint/Blast role that takes pride in craftsmanship, consistency, and doing the job right the first time. This hands-on and fast-paced position supports our production team by preparing, blasting, and finishing metal components with precision and care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full surface prep including grinding, sanding, masking, and body filling
  • Apply undercoats and finish coats using a variety of sprayed and brushed coatings
  • Mix paints to proper viscosity and follow all Manufacturer Data Sheets
  • Adjust, operate, and maintain spray equipment to meet finish requirements
  • Conduct grit blasting using company-provided protective gear and air helmet
  • Maintain paint inventory and ensure materials are properly stored and tracked
  • Schedule and manage workflow in the Paint Department to support productivity and quality
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and safe
  • Operate cranes to move materials over 50 lbs; manually lift up to 50 lbs
  • Follow all company safety rules and use required PPE at all times
  • Support additional shop tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in industrial painting and/or blasting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes with minimal rework
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and data sheets
  • Comfort working with respirators (note: fitted respirators require no beard)
  • Reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to jump in where needed
