Job Description

Power the heartbeat of steelmaking

In a company recognized as one of the world’s largest steel producers, every motor that turns and every generator that hums keeps our mission alive. As an Industrial Armature and Stator Rebuild Technician, your craftsmanship restores critical equipment across production and service units.

Your impact

Picture this: a vital motor comes offline mid-shift. You step in to strip damaged copper windings, rewind precise coils with insulated copper wire, insulate and secure every turn, and solder/weld connections. After reassembly, you validate performance—checking voltage, resistance, and balance—ensuring the unit runs correctly and production stays on schedule. Between urgent calls, you assist with inspections and maintenance to prevent the next outage.

Working conditions

Assignments span multiple mill areas; conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy. Work with or around hot, heavy, or sharp materials and hazardous chemicals. At times, work may be performed in close proximity to molten metal. Manual tasks include lifting more than 25 lbs.

Safety first, always

Safety is our core value. Expect strict adherence to procedures and full PPE: hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, metatarsal-protection boots, and respirator equipment when necessary.

What you bring

High School Diploma or GED. Reliability: punctual, consistent attendance, and self-directed work habits. Schedule flexibility: rotating 8-hour shifts that include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Readiness for overtime as needed. Ability to pass a pre-employment digital assessment.
