Overview
The Mechanical Assembler role involves performing final assembly, finishing, and testing of customer products at the Assembly & Test Department. The technician will be responsible for building assemblies and ensuring they meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform final assembly, finishing, and testing of customer products.
- Work with Helicoil’s, installing and removing as necessary.
- Assemble and fit together mechanical components and final assemblies for testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
- Perform final cleaning operations on finished products.
- Inspect work in progress for compliance with standards and report any damage.
- Verify all assembly, finishing, and test requirements are completed prior to product sign-off.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality management to meet quality expectations.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent GED.
- Previous hands-on mechanical experience with cars, trucks, or small engines.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a mechanical assembly role is a plus.
- Ability to interpret customer engineering specifications and drawings.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to understand and analyze technical documents.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply them to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
