Overview
The Pipefitter General Foreman is responsible for overseeing the performance and productivity of field teams, ensuring safety compliance, and managing project requirements while promoting a culture of accountability within the team.
Responsibilities
- Promote CSUSASW Safety Culture.
- Stress team approach.
- Assist foreman in generating an accurate 3-week look ahead.
- Manage manpower performance and productivity.
- Ensure proper apprentice to journeyman ratio on projects.
- Oversee Comfort Systems USA SW subcontractors' field productivity.
- Identify and recruit new talent for team building.
- Create professional field teams through training.
- Attend and contribute to project meetings.
- Verify project information is communicated to field teams.
- Attend weekly staff meetings for active projects.
- Visit projects weekly to discuss productivity and safety.
- Ensure foreman understand CDR entry processes.
- Collaborate with project managers on project issues.
- Document deficiencies and conflicts for project leaders.
- Act as liaison between General Contractor and CSSW.
- Encourage foreman attendance at monthly meetings.
- Seek training opportunities for foreman and lead personnel.
- Review man hours and materials for project recovery.
- Meet with Field Superintendents weekly to discuss issues.
Requirements
- Sound knowledge of trade profession and experience in mechanical or plumbing trades.
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements as they apply to construction.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate with diverse individuals in the field.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
