Overview

The Pipefitter General Foreman is responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring safety and productivity, and managing team performance within Comfort Systems USA SW. This role requires strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing trades, as well as effective communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote CSUSASW Safety Culture.
• Stress team approach continually.
• Assist foreman in generating an accurate 3-week look ahead.
• Manage manpower performance and productivity.
• Ensure proper apprentice to journeyman ratio on projects.
• Oversee subcontractors' field productivity.
• Identify and recruit new talent for teams.
• Develop professional field teams through training.
• Attend and contribute to project meetings.
• Verify project information is communicated to field teams.
• Attend weekly staff meetings for active projects.
• Visit projects weekly to discuss productivity and safety.
• Ensure foreman understand CDR entry processes.
• Collaborate with project managers on project issues.
• Document and address project deficiencies and delays.
• Cultivate a culture of accountability in the field.
• Act as liaison between General Contractor and CSSW.
• Encourage foreman attendance at monthly meetings.
• Seek training opportunities for foreman and lead personnel.
• Review man hours and materials for project recovery.
• Meet with Field Superintendents weekly to discuss issues.
