Overview

Wilson Engineers is a respected Arizona-based consulting firm that delivers innovative water and wastewater engineering and construction management solutions. They are currently seeking an experienced Structural Inspector to join their Tempe, Arizona office.

Responsibilities

• Proactively meet challenging time constraints and work independently and as part of a team.
• Review project plans and specifications to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project.
• Provide onsite construction inspection for projects located throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.
• Coordinate in the field with project Owners, Contractors, and 3rd-party material testing agencies.
• Communicate effectively with Structural Engineering staff who supervise work in progress.
• Prepare Daily reports to document construction progress, changes, and as-built conditions.

Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years of experience working in the Construction Industry as a Structural Inspector, Field Engineer, or similar.
• Knowledge of construction means & methods and quality control measures; experience in water/wastewater construction is a plus.
• Experience with construction Submittals, Shop Drawings, and RFI coordination.
• Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software capabilities.
• Minimum one ICC Certification and willingness to obtain others within one year.
• OSHA 30-hour training.
• Requires a valid Arizona driver’s license and good driving record.
• Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar is a plus, but not required.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification (or ability to obtain within one year) is a plus.
