Overview

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is a leading provider of innovative outdoor living products and utility infrastructure solutions. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the safety and functionality of plant machines, equipment, and grounds to ensure efficient production.

Responsibilities

  • Removes and installs machine components to ensure safe operation of production equipment.
  • Troubleshoots systems to determine causes of machine failure and recommends repair solutions.
  • Collaborates with machine operators to understand machine failures or component fabrication needs.
  • Designs, fabricates, and welds machine components or fixtures for proper equipment functionality.
  • Records details of machine malfunctions and necessary adjustments.
  • Conducts test runs of machine adjustments to ensure functionality and quality standards.
  • Performs routine analyses and calculations, recommending changes in equipment or test methods.
  • Maintains cleanliness, functionality, and safety of maintenance equipment, tools, and work areas.
  • Repairs building and grounds equipment, fixtures, and tools as necessary.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and inspections on facility equipment as scheduled.
  • Follows daily assignment schedule.
  • Cleans and prepares machines for the next day's run.
  • Starts up machines and robots before production.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED desired.
  • Able to speak and comprehend basic English.
  • Ability to work alone or in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Concrete knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience with 3 phase electric and hydraulic system troubleshooting.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Working at heights about 4 ft. is common.
