Overview

We are seeking an Entry level Composite Technician to join our team at BAE Systems Inc. As a Composite Technician, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and testing composite materials and structures used in various defense applications.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and test composite materials and structures according to specifications and drawings
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
• Operate various composite manufacturing equipment, such as autoclaves, presses, and sanders
• Conduct quality control checks and inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve composite manufacturing issues
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve manufacturing processes and product quality
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in composite manufacturing, fabrication, or a related field
• Knowledge of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and testing methods
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Basic math skills and ability to read and write clearly
