Overview

Delta is a global provider of power and thermal management solutions, founded in 1971. The Quality Control Inspector role focuses on ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and standards in the inspection of sheet metal parts and welded assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections of sheet metal components using precision measurement tools.
• Conduct visual and dimensional weld inspections per AWS D1.1, ISO, or equivalent standards.
• Verify weld quality including size, length, penetration, and overall workmanship.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure product conformity.
• Perform in-process inspections during sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Inspect surface finishes and other secondary processes.
• Document inspection results and prepare quality reports.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure inspection tools and gauges are calibrated and maintained.
• Follow all company safety, ISO 9001, and quality system procedures.
• Ensure EMS conforms to ISO14001: 2015.
• Report to Top Management on EMS performance and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or technical certification required; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection within a sheet metal fabrication or welding environment.
• Experience with precision measurement tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
