Overview

The Maintenance Worker II - Utilities position at the City of North Richland Hills is responsible for ensuring the proper operation of the City’s utility lines through various maintenance tasks and heavy equipment operation. This role involves collaboration with other city employees and contractors to maintain utility services effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for utility line maintenance.
• Complete valve maintenance procedures.
• Assist with repairing main break leaks.
• Maintain the City’s fire hydrants.
• Locate utility lines for construction purposes.
• Provide direction to Maintenance Worker I.
• Communicate and coordinate utility maintenance efforts with contractors and inspectors.
• Maintain utility maintenance equipment.
• Interact with other City employees and citizens.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience in water/wastewater maintenance or related field.
• Valid Texas Class A CDL Driver’s License with Tanker Endorsement.
• Good driving record over the last three years.
